Fitness Test Day, Leicester - 8th September 2007

 

Thanks to Leicester University, we will once again have access to track and gym facilities for fitness testing and training.

 

The following will staff the event:

  • Phil Brown

  • Mike Barker

  • Manager – Jenny Shute

 

Once again, I am pleased to offer this event free of charge (but with no guarantee that future fitness days will also be free!). 

 

Please meet at the changing area near the running track at 11.00 on Saturday 8th September.  The session should end at roughly 5 p.m. 

 

You are asked to bring running shoes (not spikes), a water bottle, towel and warm waterproof clothing.  Please also bring food and sufficient snacks for the whole day.

 

Remember that fitness doesn’t start and end in September - the sooner you start to work on your fitness level, the more you will enjoy this session!  Also a gentle reminder that in order to be offered an invitation to the October camp, you must have passed a fitness test. 

Please note that some of the targets have changed, and that press-ups are now part of the range of tests that will be included (girls will no longer be tested on pull-ups).  Full details of the tests, and of the new targets, will be published shortly.
