The Race Ski-Interkriterium, Ricky v Orlickych Horach, Czech Republic
These are just a few of the people who have gone on from winning the races in the Interkriterium event to become famous World Cup racers. Those of you who have been selected to race in this event will discover that you will be racing against some of the very best of your age group in the world. It is also quite interesting to see how long it takes from racing at Children's level to racing in World Cup events! If you want to become a World Champion you might have to count on competing for another 20 years or so (like Stangassinger, Trinkl, Vrhovnik and the others on the list who are all still competing strongly at that level). In 2006, our own British skier Harry Brown took the silver medal in the International Slalom - an outstanding result!!! Jayme Baggio also performed extremely well, and was placed 5th in the GS competition. I hope that this year we might bring bring back some medals!
