Length measurement will be carried out as in the past based on the total 'developed' length ('abgewickeite Lange'), and in accordance with ISO Norm including a measurement tolerance of +/- 1cm (new precision).

The FIS rules regarding Children's equipment, in particular those regarding length and radius of curvature, have been brought in with the safety and protection of children in mind.

Equipment used at all children's international events must conform to these rules.

One further point - an important one.  Our coaches here are responsible for the preparation of skis for the races, and I must ask parents to respect this fact.  The coaches will check all skis that have been prepared at home, and will do further work if they feel it is necessary.  That is why they are there, and it is important to recognise that this is their job and their responsibility.  Conditions may not be what you expect, and preparation will depend on the snow and weather at the time of the race.

The coaches have commented that children should be encouraged to take a more professional approach to the care of their equipment.

Please take note of these cautions!
